Many individuals find difficulty, at some point in their life, coping with the everyday pressures and stress this world brings. Some may find themselves repeatedly in unhealthy relationships, feeling stuck, or unable to create the meaningful life they desire. Old wounds may resurface, making it difficult to move forward. As a therapist, my goal is to help individuals find freedom from these challenges and live a more fulfilling life.
I am a therapist currently working towards full licensure in the state of Tennessee. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee. Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree, I decided to pursue graduate studies at Vanderbilt University where I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2017, I completed my EMDRIA approved training and supervision to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in my practice.
I am passionate about working with clients struggling with substance use, eating disorders, and trauma. I have experiencing working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and challenges following life transitions.
I take an eclectic approach to therapeutic interventions, tailoring them to meet each client’s unique needs. I use methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Minfulness-based practices, and EMDR. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space for my clients to heal and discover their inner strengths. Taking the necessary steps toward change can be difficult and it takes courage to ask for help. I hope we can work together to help you find healing.
