Elizabeth Schane is a licensed counselor in the states of Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina. She strongly believes in the importance of creating a calm space where a client can feel supported to share the thoughts and feelings they tend to keep inside.
For years Elizabeth has worked with the military and athletes. She understands the difficulties they face on a day to day basis. She supports her clients in adjusting to regular relocations, improving communication with partners and family, and managing the
expectation of health and wellness in the field. She helps clients find ways to negotiate the challenge of career and family. She also specializes in aiding service members and athletes in their transition to retirement. Leaving a lifelong career can feel confusing and overwhelming. It can leave someone unsure of how to proceed with life post career. Elizabeth helps her clients navigate retirement and create strategies to make the transition feel seamless.
Throughout her years as a clinician, Elizabeth has worked in the inpatient and outpatient settings, counseling a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, trauma related issues, veterans, athletes, substance abuse, grief and loss, and stage of life transitions. In addition, she served as the clinical director of an inpatient and outpatient facility for individuals struggling with substance abuse and severe and persistent mental illness.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with loved ones including her two cats, Bella and Tessa, traveling as often as possible, seeing live musical theater, and embracing the foodie culture by trying out new and exciting local restaurants.
