Gena Leone, LMSW


Gena Leone is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Tennessee. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Tennessee, and her Bachelor of Science from Belmont University. Gena has over 17 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and families in the field of mental health and addiction within a variety of settings. She offers her own personal and professional experience with creativity and insight, and utilizes a strengths-based, integrative approach to help clients discover their strengths and create the life that they want and deserve.

She is passionate about collaborating with clients to identify and address underlying issues contributing to their symptoms. Gena utilizes an eclectic approach to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for processing thoughts and emotions, working through adverse experiences & traumas, treating and addressing addictions, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, as well as mood disorders, family of origin, stress, and low self-esteem.

Some of the interventions Gena utilizes include, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness Meditation, Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Comprehensive Resource Model, (CRM), and Internal Family Systems, (IFS) She is trained in EMDR II, CRM, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Trauma-Informed Yoga, and certified as a Hypnotherapist.
