Since 2015, I have worked both as a clinical associate and as a counselor in residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and college counseling settings serving adolescents, young emerging adults, and adult populations experiencing a range of presenting concerns.
I specialize in assessing and treating addiction and codependency, athlete performance, identity development, or transition, stress management, depression, life adjustments, managing difficult relationships and communication, and health and wellness strategies.
How Did I Get Here?
My background, skill-sets, and experiences are diverse, both personally and professionally. I have two undergraduate degrees in business and music business from Rhodes College and Belmont University and a Masters in accounting from Rhodes, including my CPA license. I’ve worked as a CPA, wealth management for artists and entertainers, sports marketing, athlete relations where I worked in business development, customer service and management roles with NFL players, as well as an entrepreneur operating my own business. I’ve taught business and finance courses at the collegiate level, played Div. I college basketball, and coached and trained kids at the high school basketball level.
I have a deep understanding of the athlete, the NFL player landscape, as well as the necessary steps that many of them must take in regards to health and wellness, financially, business skills, counseling, etc. after leaving the game. Over a span of six years, I worked with over 2,800 current and former NFL players, sports’ leagues and unions, and their representatives and have grown passionate about the challenges many athletes face during their transition out of the game into other opportunities in life.
In addition, with many friends and family in recovery, and through my own personal work and journey, I have a great desire to give back and serve clients from all walks of life.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with the people I love, including my dog, Snow, shoot basketball, create and play music, travel, read, and try my best to enjoy my life, while helping others enjoy theirs.
